Street Fighter VI Meta Overview
Drive system, neutral and corner play.SFVI introduces the Drive Gauge which fuels Drive Impact, Drive Rush, Overdrive specials and Drive Reversal. Managing Drive and corner pressure defines the meta.
Drive Gauge
You start each round with a full Drive bar. Spending Drive on rush, impact or reversals drains it; entering Burnout leaves you without Drive options and makes you take chip damage. Be mindful not to Burnout in the corner, where DI can guard‑break you.
Neutral & Corner
Use safe buttons to control space. In neutral, threaten Drive Impact but be ready to counter theirs with your own DI, jump or throw. The corner is oppressive: stagger pressure, shimmy throws and bait wake‑ups. Escape via Drive Reversal or air resets when safe.
Progression
New players should learn one character’s normals, a simple hit confirm and DI defence. Intermediate players work on Drive Rush combos, corner pressure and resource management. Advanced players optimise Drive usage, match‑up knowledge and intentional Burnout strategies.
