Smite Meta Overview

God classes, roles and Conquest basics.

Smite is a third‑person MOBA where gods battle in a classic three‑lane Conquest map. The meta follows the tri‑lane structure, with a focus on god classes, early pressure and objective control.

Classes & Roles

Gods are divided into Warriors, Guardians, Assassins, Mages and Hunters. In Conquest, Warriors and Guardians go Solo (Solo Lane and Support), Assassins Jungle, Mages Mid and Hunters ADC in Duo lane. Learning each class’s strengths and match‑ups is crucial.

Early Game & Objectives

Games open with camp clearing and lane pressure. Supports rotate to mid after clearing duo lane to contest mid camps. The first Gold Fury or Pyromancer often comes around level 12. Prioritise farm before forcing objectives. Vision and timers on buffs and Furies give significant advantages.

Team Composition

Common comps include one tanky frontliner, one initiator, a Mage for AoE damage and objective shred, a Hunter for towers and sustained DPS and an Assassin to pick isolated targets. Coordinating crowd control to lock down enemy carries wins fights.
