Generals: Zero Hour Meta Overview

Factions, early aggression and map control.

Zero Hour amps up C&C Generals with sub‑generals and faster aggression. USA, China and GLA factions each have strengths that define how they expand, harass and tech.

Factions & Sub‑Generals

USA excels at air power, with strong Chinooks, Humvees and Comanches. China fields mass tanks, ECMs and artillery with propaganda auras. GLA uses tunnels, Tech Terror and stealth to harass and out‑macro. Sub‑generals specialise (e.g. Air Force General, Stealth General), tweaking unit stats and abilities.

Early Game & Harassment

Build two supplies, a Barracks and a War Factory. USA players drop Missile Defenders with Chinooks; China rallies Gatts and Tank Hunters; GLA builds tunnels all over the map and sends Technicals loaded with RPGs or terrorists. Denying your opponent’s workers, dozers or trucks sets them behind.

Mid Game & Tech

USA transitions into Tomahawks, Avengers and air spam; China techs to Propaganda Center, ECMs and Overlords; GLA unlocks Buggies, Jarmen Kell and Scuds. Control supplies, oil derricks and map corners to sustain your army. Time your General Powers with pushes for maximum impact.
