Setup Optimise
Performance, inputs and ergonomics.Your hardware and environment can help or hinder you. This section covers how to tune your setup for stability and comfort.
Performance & FPS
Stable frame rates reduce input lag and stutter. Lower resource‑heavy settings like shadows and post‑processing until your FPS is consistent. Aim for a frame rate that matches or exceeds your monitor’s refresh.
Display & Resolution
Higher refresh monitors feel smoother but aren’t mandatory. Pick a resolution that gives clear visuals without sacrificing FPS. Turn off motion blur and unnecessary effects for competitive play.
Input Devices
For mouse users, disable acceleration and choose a sensitivity that allows comfortable 180s and precision shots. Controller players should remap buttons to fit their hands and adjust deadzones for responsiveness. Consistency is key—avoid constantly switching settings.
Network & Lag
Use wired connections where possible. Close downloads and streams while playing. Play on servers near your location to minimise ping. If issues persist, contact your ISP.
Ergonomics & Environment
Use a comfortable chair and adjust your desk and monitor so you can sit upright with relaxed shoulders. Keep wrists neutral. Light your room to avoid eye strain and reduce screen glare. Remove distractions to stay focused.
